Dental Implants

dental_implants_2Millions of Americans suffer tooth loss – mostly due to tooth decay, gingivitis (gum disease), or injury. For many years, the only treatment options available for people with missing teeth were bridges and dentures. But, today, dental implants are available and may be the best restoration for you.

Think of dental implants as being replacement tooth roots which provide a strong foundation for fixed (permanent) or removable replacement teeth that are made to match your natural teeth. Because it is not necessary to reduce other teeth to place an implant, more of your own teeth are left intact, improving your long-term oral health. Individual implants also allow easier access between teeth, improving oral hygiene.

Poorly fitting dentures may slide and can make chewing difficult or cause you to muffle or slur your words. Dental implants hold your denture firmly in place and allow you to eliminate the need for messy adhesives. Because they function like your own teeth, you can eat your favorite foods with confidence and without pain.

In most cases, anyone who is healthy enough to undergo a routine dental extraction or oral surgery can be considered for an implant. Patients should have healthy gums and enough bone to hold the implant. They also must be committed to good oral hygiene and regular dental visits. Implants are very durable and will last many years. With good care, many implants last a lifetime.

Aug 7, 2013 I am so thankful a friend referred Chattanooga Dental Care. I was new to Chattanooga and didn't know of a Dentist. You will love this Dental Staff from the front desk to everyone in the rear, and the dental work is great also, and I don't like going to the dentist. Shirley V.

Aug 7, 2013 The staff is very professional and concerned for the patient's comfort. The sedation I rec. the day of my surgery put me at ease which made the procedure really comfortable for me. I highly recommend Dr. Majors for any dental problems anyone might have. Helen F.

Jun 12, 2013 I had a terrific experience at... Julie D.
Patient
I had a terrific experience at the Chattanooga Dental Center. Dr. Major and his assistant, Michelle, were professional and caring. Finally I found a medical office that understands busy working people don't have time to return for four or five appointments to complete dental work. At this office you will find a friendly, clean, and professional atmosphere with competitive prices that are presented in writing prior to services rendered so there are no surprises. I highly recommend this professional dental office.

May 23, 2013 I was impressed with the professionalism,... Vicki B.
Patient
I was impressed with the professionalism, efficiency and friendliness of everyone. I felt comfortable and well-attended during my procedures. I can honestly say that I was not in pain. Post procedure instructions provided for continued pain relief as well. I received a call to check on how I was recovering and a personal note of support the day after my visit. After waiting so long to return for dental care after several bad experiences, I can say that I was surprised and relieved with the quality of services I received. Thank you to everyone who made my day.

May 4, 2013 Have been trusting Dr. Majors to... Elaine B.
Patient
Have been trusting Dr. Majors to my dental work for years and would not go anywhere else. He and his staff are always so friendly and professional. My experience has been that they genuinely care for their patients and work to make each dental visit as pleasant/non-stressful as possible. My recommendation is that if you live in the Chattanooga area and have putting off that much needed dental visit....do like I did and give Dr. Majors a call. You won't regret it!

May 2, 2013 I always have feared the dentist... Shannon C.
Patient
I always have feared the dentist yet, Dr. Majors and his team take very good care of me and are super attentive to my distress. I live 40 miles away and it is worth every minute of my drive multiplied over and over to be able to go to a dentist who is compassionate and understanding. From the moment you walk into the office to the time you walk out the door you feel the respect and understanding from every staff member. NOT the experience I had received in the past from my former"hometown dentist". Don't get me wrong I do not get excited over going to the dentist but neither do I stress as bad as I used to.

“You think that you’re alone. You think that the rest of the world can go to the dentist and not be afraid, and you have gone for years and years with a condition that you would like to treat . . . but there’s no reason to be afraid – there’s nothing that you can’t accomplish.”

“The people here are more like family. They’re very encouraging and uplifting. Dr. Roberts was so patient and understanding. Each time I would come in it was like 'Hey, how are you doing today? I’m so glad to see you again.' The receptionist is precious, and all the other girls that work here. I just have really enjoyed the experience.”
Patient
"I think it’s a top priority for them to make everybody that comes in this office comfortable. Even if I had been a child and come in here I would be very relaxed and enjoy the experience because of the way they treat you. They’re just really nice people."
Patient
I’ve told several people Dr. Major and Dr. Roberts practice is a really good place to go and if they need a new dentist, I highly recommend their office."

“I had some badly stained teeth, and some mismatched teeth from other dental offices. I didn’t do a whole lot of smiling because of my teeth. So I went with the veneers...and I just love them. The day Dr. Major put my veneers in I was speechless. They’re just gorgeous. I couldn’t imagine anything better. I get lots of compliments and they make me feel good."
Patient

Patient
